A 1,250-metre-long treetop walk takes guests through the forest canopy on a route packed with information and adventure stations. Highlight is the Eagle’s Nest, a viewing platform situated 40 metres above the ground offering fantastic views over the Rügen island, the Kleiner Jasmunder Bodden (lagoon) and the Baltic Sea. Previously a restricted military area, the grounds are now home to numerous endangered plant and animal species. The interactive exhibition at the Naturerbe Zentrum Rügen invites visitors to discover the diverse landscape of the island.
Get creative in the natural laboratory of the visitor centre. Here, young and old artists have the opportunity to try their hand at amber cutting, soap casting or handicrafts with natural materials in the hands-on workshops.
