Cape Arkona

Light houses & wind formed landscapes

Take a stroll through the ages at the northernmost part of the island. The remains of a Slavic fortress from the 12th century, the listed fishing village Vitt with its thatched-roof chapel, the two over 100 years old lighthouses next to the former naval command bunker complex from the times of the GDR are all bearing witness to the history of Cape Arkona. The “New Lighthouse” is still active today and offers visitors a stunning view of the protected landscape.

Tip

Experience the regional craftsmanship settled on the Rügenhof and around the lighthouses.
